Although rain blanketed much of Los Angeles, the festivities in downtown continued with the energetic kickoff of the New Year’s celebrations. As tradition holds, Weller Court and the Japanese Village Plaza filled with sounds of joy and celebration, from powerful taiko drum performances to traditional Japanese songs.
